Data Centre One

Data Centre One is a vendor-neutral, co-location data centre to be built and operated to world best practice standards. Clients will benefit from being able to choose their own networks and service providers. Data Centre One will employ highly qualified and skilled technical staff members to ensure that all functions run smoothly and are available on a 24/7/365 basis to support the hardware and software of its hosted clients. The main purpose of Data Centre One will be to run the applications that handle the core business and operational data of the organisations which are hosted in Stellendale Park. Data Centre One will also used for off-site backups, disaster recovery and for business continuity purposes for client companies.

The agreement between Data Centre One and its clients encompasses a service level agreement comprising, a contract of availability of the general data centre environment and a guarantee of compliance of the physical inter connections, available power supply, temperature control, relative humidity, support team, energy efficiency and greening measures taken.

All the aspects of the service level agreements will be measured regularly by an independent knowledgeable and professional party, in accordance with international best practice standards. The equipment of each client will be securely located within a private, caged space for the sole use of the client – and which will be in the main co-location area of the Data Centre One building. The Telcos will have points-of-presence or meet-me-rooms in the Data Centre One building, to enable clients to link into the Telco networks of their choice. Furthermore, special rates for Data Centre One clients are being negotiated with some of the Telcos. Clients will also have limited interconnection opportunities with other Data Centre One clients, at no charge.
